Happy Birthday ST Chang

Dear ST,

It is with a great deal of pleasure that I pen these words of congratulations on reaching your 80th birthday in such fine health and spirit. It is a credit that you have achieved so much for the international mushroom industry during many of those 80 years.

As an Honorary Member of ISMS you have been identified by your peers as person who has made a significant contribution to mushroom science – there is no greater honour than to be acknowledged by your peers.

The stamina you show in continuing to share your knowledge with all those who ask in all parts of the world, is truly amazing. You are the living proof that mushrooms are the healthiest food in the world.

Thanks for giving so freely of your time and enthusing the up and coming young mushroom scientists of the future. These young people will ensure that mushrooms play a significant role in human development in the 21st century. The “brown revolution” will only be a matter of time thanks to your dedication.

Enjoy your birthday to the fullest and may we have the pleasure of celebrating many, many more.  From all of your friends and colleagues at the International Society for Mushroom Science - Happy Birthday!
